Greatest accomplishment from lifting and/or fitness in general?
I have competed in 4 NPC shows in the past year, and am currently preparing for my 4th NPC figure contest, which is in less than 3 weeks. Although I have yet to place as well as I would like, I am confident that I make improvements each time I hit the stage. I am very excited about the changes I’ve seen in my physique since I began competing a year ago. I have never hired a personal trainer or nutritionist, and have always come up with my own workouts and diet plans. Although I think hiring a coach would definitely give anyone interested in competing in shows a great head start, I feel that I have learned a lot about my body by figuring out what works best for me through trial and error. I love that I learn new things about bodybuilding all the time, so it never gets dull.
Favorite exercise to do in the gym?
Squats, lunges, & pull-ups

Ever have guys challenge you in any sports, arm wrestling or wrestling? If so what happened?

One time at a bar in San Francisco, a very tall and dark stranger asked me to arm wrestle him, and I ended up beating him. I have pictures for evidence ;] He was a good sport.
Anything you would like to add or tell your fans?
“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” I have always been conscious about nutrition and having a balanced diet. I believe that diet is the most important aspect of not only bodybuilding but also achieving great health in general. I began learning about eating ‘clean’ foods while preparing for my first NPC show. When I began focusing on eating lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats and avoiding processed foods, I realized how much preparation is involved in eating healthy foods for every meal. Once I got the hang of it, eating clean became more of a lifestyle for me than just a 12 week contest prep diet. Even when I am not preparing for a photo shoot or contest, I eat clean foods simply because it makes me feel more healthy and energetic. I’ve also realized that eating clean foods does not have to be boring or flavorless at all! During my free time I like to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen and I like to be creative with new ingredients so I can keep my food interesting.
